Standard edit: this is a one-pass process where your editor will edit your work for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency and dialogue.
Comprehensive edit: this is a two-pass process where your editor will cover all aspects included in the standard edit PLUS structure, plot, point of view, characterisation and tone. This also includes additional time for answering questions and a Skype call with your editor.
You can add editing to your chosen package by selecting it on your form.
Editing is billed separately.

Once you have submitted your form, you'll receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours. An invoice for your chosen package will then follow via email.
Once your payment has been received for your selected package, your project will begin as scheduled and you'll receive a welcome email that includes a link to your Marketing & Sales Toolkit. Please allow sufficient time for project completion as you'll be required to review and approve project concepts. Design, formatting, conversion and review time takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks (excluding editing).

Q. What type of payment do you accept?
A. Payments are accepted via PayPal, credit card or bank transfer (EFT). Payments for packages are required to book in your project. A PayPal invoice will be sent via email with the details.
Q. Why is editing not included in the packages?
A. Editing is not included because some people have already had their writing edited or proofread and just want the rest of the publishing tasks as they move forward. This way we simply have it as an optional add-on for those that want editing.
Q. How many changes can I make to the typesetting/print layout?
A. Up to two rounds of revision are available, which include layout/style adjustments. This does not include significant editorial or content changes as these should have been addressed in a proper edit.
Q. Do you offer rush fees?
A. No. We don't offer rush fees or time frames. The book-publishing process is a layered one that needs everyone's considered attention.
Q. How long does a book cover design take?
A. It takes from 5 to 7 business days to receive your first cover-design drafts for review. You'll need to allow time for review and revisions.
Q. What files do you accept?
A. We accept Microsoft Word files including .docx, .doc and .rtf. Make sure your manuscript is free of comments and track changes. Paragraph text should be consistent with chapter or section headings using Microsoft Word's default heading styles. Please refer to our manuscript preparation checklist.
Q. How long will typesetting take?
A. This depends on the size and complexity of your book. Generally most books take between 7 to 10 business days for typesetting to be completed. You will need to factor in review time for yourself as well and it's important not to rush the process.
Q. What does the publishing POD set-up involve?
A. This is where you'll get access to private training videos and support for publishing your book via print on demand and Amazon Kindle, removing guesswork and mistakes you may make on your own.
